DegradedAyuntamiento de BenahavísOfficial · Ayuntamiento de Benahavísnot checked yet
- Sources
- Ayuntamiento de Benahavís · news RSS (headlines)
- Why
- RSS 2.0 feed verified 2026-09-14; used for headlines and links only because no reuse licence is stated.
- Updates
- A few items a week.
- Licence
- No reuse licence stated — headline and link only
- Limitations
- Not a live emergency channel: nothing about the 13 Sept 2026 fire was published for more than 24 h.
- Headlines and links only; the item body is not stored because no reuse licence is stated.
- Headlines rarely carry times or places; an absent notice says nothing about safety.

Verified liveEMA · Plan INFOCAOfficial · Agencia de Emergencias de Andalucía (EMA), Junta de Andalucía — UTAF INFOCAnewest data 2 min agochecked 2 min ago
- Sources
- EMA · Plan INFOCA incident viewer layer
- Why
- Anonymous GeoJSON queries verified 2026-09-14; operating under EMA's non-commercial emergency-support terms (confirmed by the operator).
- Updates
- Viewer refreshes every 2 min; EMA notes the viewer can lag its official X account.
- Licence
- EMA item 'Términos de uso': non-commercial educational/technical/analysis/emergency-support use with attribution; commercial use needs EMA authorisation; no real-time guarantee.
- Limitations
- Points are incident reference points, not fire fronts or perimeters.
- No perimeters, burnt area, levels (situación operativa) or evacuation areas.
- Records are overwritten in place; status-change times are only known to the polling interval.
- Resource counts are deployment snapshots, not a severity measure.
- An incident no longer listed is not evidence it was extinguished; only an explicit EXTINGUIDO status is.

- Sources
- EMA 112 Andalucía and EMA INFOCA on Bluesky (official accounts)
- Why
- Public AppView author feeds verified 2026-09-14. EMA 112 Andalucía posted the Benahavís confinement, move-out and A-7175 updates within minutes of X; the INFOCA account is degraded (silent during that fire).
- Updates
- Event-driven; 112 posted about every 30–120 min during the Benahavís fire.
- Licence
- Posts belong to the account holder; excerpt + link only
- Limitations
- Mirrors the accounts' X posts within minutes; cross-posting can stop silently.
- EMA INFOCA's Bluesky mirror was silent during the September 2026 Benahavís fire (no posts after 2026-09-12T20:45Z).
- createdAt is set by the posting client; indexedAt is used as the publication time.
- Key information can be inside attached images, which are not read.
- Times written in post text are local (Europe/Madrid) and only candidates.

- Sources
- Junta de Andalucía · Emergencias 112 and forest-fire press notes (open data news API)
- Why
- Documented anonymous REST API with an open licence, verified 2026-09-14. Publication times are local time labelled as UTC and are corrected on ingest.
- Updates
- Prose notes, hours after events (Benahavís, 13 Sept 2026: first note about 4 h after ignition).
- Licence
- CC BY 4.0
- Limitations
- Prose only: levels, measures, roads and places are extraction candidates that a moderator must verify, never instructions.
- Published hours after the events described; not an early-warning channel.
- publication_date is Europe/Madrid local time labelled as UTC ('Z'); it is corrected to UTC on ingest.
- No geometry: places come only from names in the text.
- Wording drifts between channels (the notes said 'alejamiento preventivo' where 112 posts said 'desalojo preventivo').
Verified liveCopernicus EMSSatellite · European Commission — Copernicus Emergency Management Service (Rapid Mapping)checked 3 h 51 min ago
- Sources
- Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping — wildfire delineations
- Why
- The public activation list, activation detail JSON and per-layer GeoJSON on S3 answered without authentication on 2026-09-14 (EMSR913 Niebla, Huelva).
- Updates
- On demand per activation: first delineation about a day after activation, then monitoring updates.
- Licence
- Copernicus free, full and open (Reg. (EU) 2021/696)
- Limitations
- On-demand activations only: most fires are never mapped.
- About a day of latency between activation and the first delineation.
- Products are versioned and monitoring updates replace earlier delineations; each claim names its product and version.
- The activation API is undocumented (it serves the public viewer) and may change without notice.
- Timestamps carry no zone designator and are read as UTC.
- Layers larger than 25 MB are skipped with a note rather than downloaded.

Verified liveEFFIS burnt areasSatellite · European Commission Joint Research Centre — Copernicus Emergency Management Service (EFFIS)checked 5 h 37 min ago
- Sources
- EFFIS burnt areas (rapid damage assessment polygons and near-real-time estimate)
- Why
- WFS 1.0.0 GetFeature on ms:modis.ba.poly with an OGC Filter (BBOX + FIREDATE) returned dated polygons with attributes on 2026-09-14; GWIS GetFeatureInfo on nrt.ba.query returned the near-real-time estimate's attributes (without geometry).
- Updates
- RDA polygons appear 1–5 days after the fire date; the NRT estimate is updated with each VIIRS pass (up to 14 a day).
- Licence
- CC BY 4.0 (EU content)
- Limitations
- Burned-area maps show where fire has been, not the active fire front.
- RDA polygons lag the fire by 1–5 days, so a fire in progress usually has no polygon yet.
- The NRT estimate is a clustering of NASA FIRMS hotspots (derived from nasa-firms, not independent of it) and not a mapped perimeter.
- The NRT estimate is published without geometry; FIRELINE reports its attributes as notes rather than inventing a shape.
- The 250 m positional uncertainty on RDA polygons is a FIRELINE heuristic for MODIS/Sentinel-2 mapping.
- Only fires dated from 1 January of the current UTC year are requested; MAXFEATURES is not a reliable cap.
Verified liveNASA FIRMSSatellite · NASA ESDIS / LANCE – FIRMSnewest data 5 h 48 min agochecked 9 min ago
- Sources
- NASA FIRMS · MODIS 1 km · Aqua/Terra
- Why
- Public no-key regional file verified on 2026-09-14 (HTTP 200, fresh Last-Modified, detections present).
- Updates
- Files every 60 min; near-real-time data typically 2–6.5 h after acquisition (observed).
- Licence
- NASA open data (no restrictions); cite NASA FIRMS and the LANCE acknowledgement.
- Limitations
- A detection marks at least one heat source somewhere inside the pixel; the coordinate is the pixel centre, not the flame location.
- Pixels grow toward the swath edge (scan × track); VIIRS ≈375 m and MODIS ≈1 km at nadir.
- No detection does not mean no fire: clouds, smoke, canopy, small fires, no overpass, processing lag or outages all produce empty files.
- Not an official incident record. FRP is repeated across neighbouring VIIRS pixels and must not be summed.
- Night-time superheated smoke and static industrial heat can produce false detections.
- NASA expects Terra and Aqua to begin shutting down in late 2026 or early 2027; both satellites are drifting from their original overpass times.

Verified liveOpen-MeteoWeather · Open-Meteo.com (data from DWD and ECMWF)newest data 6 h agochecked 53 min ago
- Sources
- Open-Meteo forecast (DWD ICON-EU, ECMWF IFS)
- Why
- Verified 2026-09-14 on the free endpoint, which is licensed for non-commercial use only. A paid or ad-supported deployment needs OPEN_METEO_API_KEY.
- Updates
- ICON-EU runs every 3 h (~3 h to availability); ECMWF IFS every 6 h (~6 h to availability).
- Licence
- CC BY 4.0 (attribution required); free API non-commercial only.
- Limitations
- Model grid cell (7–9 km), not a measurement at any house; steep terrain can channel wind very differently.
- 'Current' values are 15-minute model output, not observations.
- Gusts and precipitation are preceding-hour values.
- Model run time comes from meta.json and may be a stitched series near the forecast tail.

Verified liveEFFIS fire dangerFire danger · European Commission Joint Research Centre — Copernicus Emergency Management Service (EFFIS/GWIS)checked 1 h 37 min ago
- Sources
- EFFIS fire danger forecast (ECMWF Fire Weather Index)
- Why
- WMS GetFeatureInfo on ecmwf.query (text/html) returned FWI system values for forecast dates D0–D+9 without authentication on 2026-09-14.
- Updates
- Daily ECMWF-driven forecasts (1–9 days ahead); the model run time is not exposed.
- Licence
- CC BY 4.0 (EU content)
- Limitations
- Regional weather-driven fire danger: it is not the probability of ignition, nor of a particular house burning.
- ~8 km grid (0.0703125° cells): one value stands for the whole cell, and neighbouring cells can differ sharply.
- The model run (initialisation time) behind each forecast date is not exposed.
- A blank 242-byte map image (HTTP 200) means no data for that date; dates without values are skipped, never read as low danger.
- Danger classes follow the pan-European EFFIS FWI legend, not a local calibration.
Verified liveDGT trafficRoads · Dirección General de Tráfico (Ministerio del Interior), Punto de Acceso Nacionalnewest data 2 min agochecked 2 min ago
- Sources
- DGT – Incidencias de tráfico (DATEX II v3.7)
- Why
- Verified 2026-09-14: public, unauthenticated DATEX II v3.7 snapshot with a new file about every minute; explicit closure and forestFire codes; Málaga regional and provincial roads included.
- Updates
- Documented 1 min. Observed 2026-09-14: a new snapshot about every minute, fetched 15–74 s after publicationTime.
- Licence
- The NAP dataset page lists Creative Commons Attribution (version unstated), but its terms of use link to DGT's legal notice (https://www.dgt.es/contenido/aviso-legal/), which reserves rights and allows personal, private reproduction only. Written confirmation from nap@dgt.es is pending.
- Limitations
- No listed incident does not mean a road is open or safe: it only means DGT had no active record for that road or kilometre range at publicationTime.
- Regional and provincial roads appear only when someone reports the incident to DGT or the Guardia Civil; their coverage is incidental.
- Closures ordered by fire command, 112 or local police (fire perimeters, urbanisation access roads, municipal streets) may never be entered.
- Records vanish without an end or cancellation message; a record that is no longer listed may still be in force.
- During the 13–14 Sep 2026 Benahavís fire, A-7175, A-397 and Benahavís were absent from all four snapshots sampled on 14 Sep (13:48–13:55 UTC).
- Delays add up: operator entry, about 1 minute of file generation and up to 60 s of CDN caching. A stalled feed keeps an old publicationTime.
- overallStartTime can be months old; overallEndTime is a planned end, never an observed one.
- Linear locations have only from/to points: the line drawn between them is a straight chord, not the shape of the road.
- Kilometre systems differ between datasets (AP-7 km ≈1024–1074 in DGT vs 169–175 in IECA DERA near San Pedro); match by coordinates, not km.
- severity is mostly absent, so incidents are not ranked by it. DGT3.0 stuck-vehicle records are point alerts, not closures.
